3 of 5 Great mount! (but, please, give realistic numbers) October 11, 2023
Reviewer: Massimo Dall'Ora from Castellammare di Stabia, Napoli Italy
After one year usage, these are the main points:

1) balance is critical for this mount: because of the spring load on the axes, if the OTA is not *perfectly* balanced, the movement can stop at some positions, with a strong "coffee-machine noise".

2) Again, because of the springs, mount can strongly oscillate with heavy/long OTAs, and this can be quite annoying. Unfortunately, even if the maximum payload is declared to be 15kgs, the mount suffers with a Vixen VMC 260L (10.5 kgs). I actually use it at home, where the telescope is relatively shielded by the wind, but is impossible to use it away. I judge the real maximum payload to be around 7-8 kgs.

3) The tracking is excellent, the power consumption is minimum and motors are really silent.

I think this is intrinsically a 5-stars product, but the effective payload should be more clearly declared (actually I bought it just because I wanted a light mount, to drive my VMC 260L).

5 of 5 My best iOptron mount for astrophotography January 20, 2023
Reviewer: Phillip Jones from Frisco, TX United States
I own 4 diff sized iOptron mounts and this one is by far the best tracking for astrophotography. Guiding corrections are minimal. I like the small size. I also use this for my solar scopes and for widefield astrophotography. Very pleased with it. Quick and easy to set up. Fit in my Porsche 911.

1 of 5 iEQ30 Pro November 22, 2018
Reviewer: Robin Rice from Houston, TX United States
Not off to a good start.
Paid extra shipping for 3 day delivery. Got ready for a ttrip to dark skies. We are still going, without the mount, sold my mount that the iEQ 30 replaced.
With a lot of excitement, put the mount together, checked everything, turned it on..The Hand Controller was inoperative.
The ioptron logo came on, 2 to 3 minutes later the display shows...connection error.
Exchanged the wires, to check the cables, rebooted...same data was showing...
After pushing both the back button and the menu button numerous times, the version data page came up.
No menu, no usable data, just jibberous letters etc.
Called the dealer, they said that it should work, I agreed. Gee, what a let down.
The mount will be returned the day after Thanksgiving. Workin thru the details with support.
Conclusion, for a $1300 new mount, one would expect an ioptron iEQ Pro mount to excite the customer.
