2 of 5 Useless item July 8, 2023
Reviewer: Walter Gluesing from Leesburg, FL United States
I purchased the Electronic Focuser along with an RC6 for astrophotography. I use a Gem 28 mount. The Gem 28 and my new RC 6 I love. I recommend them highly.
As for the focuser, it works fine with the hand controller but since you are next to the telescope, why bother if you can just use the focus knobs instead.
The ascom drivers for use with NINA or APT for astrophotography only work if you start with the focus tube racked all the way out then you can use the software to rack in to your focus point which will now register as negative numbers. If you try starting with the tube all the way in (at the actual zero point) it will not rack out with the software. Then when you shut down for the night the focuser doesn't store the info and it starts at zero no matter where you are on the focus tube.
So, if you are planning on using it for imaging, it won't work.

2 of 5 CEM70G support November 29, 2022
Reviewer: Lawrence Widacki from Valley Mills, TX United States
It does work on my CEM70G mount but it run the focuser to fast. In high speed mode it will make the draw-tube travel full length in about 1 second, medium speed about 3 seconds, in low speed it will over shoot every time with a quick press of the button.
When looking at the installation manual, Item 4,5,6 the sprocket is different than the one I received in the kit. the sprocket i received connects to larger 1 to 1 shaft, not the 10 to 1 shaft as shown in the picture.
I thought maybe they are using a gear reduction motor, nope it's still direct drive.
In all i gave it a 2 star rating, not a 1 star rating, only because it did work with the CEM70G mount.
