Introducing the AZ Mount Pro featuring "level and go" intuitive GOTO setup

We call it "level and go", the term used to describe iOptron new AZ Mount Pro's simple setup routing. Using its built-in precision level indicator, the operator simply levels the mount and turns on the power; this capable computerized alt-azimuth telescope mount takes it from there. Utilizing the onboard 32-channel GPS receiver and built-in position and angular detection sensors; the AZ mount Pro calculates its global position as well as the telescope orientation. Automatically the mount slews the instrument to an easily identifiable bright object in the night sky. To activate tracking and GOTO functionality, the user needs only confirm a bright object is in the center of the view.

3 of 5 Master Board in Mounting October 9, 2021
Reviewer: Frank Mraz from Port LaBelle, FL United States
After running fine for a few weeks, the mounting has a board failure in the mounting head.  I have left a message at the department that should help me, but it worries me if anything else will go wrong.  Other than that, the AltAz mounting lives up to its name of a fine mounting for stellar photos will the right software.

5 of 5 AZ Mount Pro - the Perfect Outreach Mount May 11, 2017
Reviewer: Joe Metzger from Tucson, AZ United States
I owned an iOptron Mini-Tower I for several years, and used it for public and paid star parties.  I was very pleased with it, but when I saw the features of the new AZ Mount Pro, I decided to upgrade.  I'm very glad I did.  The AZ Mount Pro is a dream to set up and use.  The "Level and Go" feature works like a charm, and the mount is whisper quiet.  The built-in rechargeable battery eliminates cord-wrap, one of my main peeves with the old Mini-Tower.

I can't think of a single thing I would change.  With the 2" tripod, it is rock steady with my 6" SCT, and could obviously handle a larger scope with no problem.  iOptron has hit it out of the park with this mount.

4 of 5 excellent for my needs December 15, 2016
Reviewer: william edelen from brick, NJ United States
I purchased this mount a few months ago to use exclusively for daytime solar viewing.IT handles two scopes at one time. With a 100mm and a 80mm at same time it is stable and trackes very well if leveled corectly.Built in level is useless so I use a toropido level to get it right.
I found it isn't stable when I add a long 127mm scope.
I have never gotten the auto align to work even after sending mount back to Ioptron to fix this problem but a one star/planet align keeps me on target for hours at a time.
All in all I am pleased with mount .It gives me the portability and stability I was looking for.

4 of 5 Mini Tower Pro II w/2" tripod June 5, 2016
Reviewer: Robert Shropshire from Inverness, IL United States
I've had this now for a couple of months.
It did take me a couple of days/evenings to finally get comfortable with this set up (80mm daystar scope pkg w/filter and my new Celestron C8 Edge HD). With new teleview lenses and Gattler collimator I have been enjoying the ease of tracking and viewing. They say it holds 33lbs and I might believe it as it supports both scopes day and night.
Synced to one star or planet it always gets me near the center of my 17mm. Synced to 2 or more I am center on most of the time.
The slew/motor is quite. Need to buy set screws for the lock knob or add star washer to ensure no slip.
I know it's not cheap but nothing this good is.
