You can now upgrade your iEQ30 mount, which uses servo motors, to the iEQ30 Pro stepper motor package. We have developed technology to deliver all of the benefits of stepper motors (reliability, accuracy, quietness) without the high power consumption associated with steppers.

The upgrade package includes RA and DEC worm assemblies with worms, stepper motors, electronics and covers. The 8407 HC can be used for the iEQ30 Pro mount after firmware upgrade.

The upgrade kit cost is $500 (final cost is $400 after $100 refund when two servo motors are returned to iOptron in working condition). For DIY upgrade, a shortened 3mm Allen wrench is needed. If you decide to send the mount to iOptron for upgrade service and test, the labor charge is $100. Customer is responsible for all other cost.
