The Pier Top can be used to mount the following mounts (with appropriate mounting accessories):

  • CEM40* CEM40/HAE43/HEM44/GEM45 (w/ center post & alignment peg)
  • iEQ30* iEQ30/iEQ30 Pro (w/ center post and alignment peg)
  • iEQ45 iEQ45/iEQ45-Pro (w/ center post and alignment peg)
  • AZ Mount Pro & MiniTower/MiniTower II/MiniTower Pro (w/ a center T-bolt)

3 of 5 Requires some machining for the GEM45 September 20, 2023

Bought this to attach a GEM45 to an iOptron 360 tri-pier. All the holes on this adapter are threaded. All the mounting holes on the tri-pier are threaded. To get this to work, I drilled out the four 8mm holes on the adapter with an 8mm drill. This removes the thread and yields a smooth bore 8mm bole hole. Then counter-sinked the holes to a depth where 8mm flat head bolts will not protrude above the top surface.
