Description Technical Specs Support Documents

The iOptron permanent piers constructed from aluminum alloy and 1/4" thick wall tubing. The thicker wall insures reduced vibration and increased system stability. Four aluminum side struts are welded between the pier tube and the base plate to eliminate side flexure of the tube assembly under heavy or off-center loads.

Currently, iOptron offer two different pier heights: 600mm and 900mm, with a CEM120 mounting plate. Custom pier height orders are available as special orders. Custom adapters are available upon request. Pier adapters are not included in the pier pricing.
  • 8038-600 600mm (23.5") $448
  • 8038-900 900mm (35") $498
  • 8038-CUS customized $648 (specify height in order note)

5 of 5 Ioptron Pier June 11, 2019

Just bought this pier.  Havent installed yet but came quick from ioptron.  Made beautifully.  Red accents on bottom is. Ice touch.  My CEM60 bolted right too it.  Gonna mount my 8"RASA and guide package on it.

I got the 900mm(35") version. Directly mounted to my concrete patio using anchor bolts.
It is well made, solid, smooth finish and just looks good.
I would have given 5 stars but agree that the base plate & supports could be a little larger and use 1/2" holes.

4 of 5 Generally good July 14, 2018

Still installing it, but have discovered the base plate bolt holes are 12mm so 1/2” threaded rods will not fit. Would it have killed them to use 1/2”? The next option for me is 3/8” rods and I wonder if that will be strong enough.
