iOptron provides replacement GPS module to solve the GPS rollover bug at a discounted price. Here is detailed info related to the bug.

For a Cube/Cube Pro/MiniTower/MiniTower II/MiniTower Pro mount, you can
  • Order the GPS module (select Cube/MT) and replace it yourself; or
  • Disconnect the GPS module to use the mount without GPS.

For a iEQ45 mount, you can (select iEQ45):
  • Remove the main board w/GPS module and send it to iOptron to replace it (enter a note at check out);
  • Replace it yourself (need SOLDERING); or
  • Cut off 5 pins of the GPS module to disable it.
Please read replacement instruction before ordering iEQ45 GPS module.

Special instruction for ordering iEQ45 mount GPS:

If you would like to send the mainboard w/GPS to iOptron for service, please do the following:
  • Place the order for iEQ45;
  • Enter "Will send mainboard for replacement" into the note field when checking out;
  • Write down the order #XXXXX;
  • Remove the mainboard from the mount by following the instruction;
  • Ship the board to:

  • We'll take care of it.

If you would like to replace the GPS module yourself, just place the order and select iEQ45.
